Job Overview:
Impact Toolbox is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Summer Programs Associate to join our team for this summer. In this role, you will support implementing two impactful programs – our social enterprise incubation program for non-profit leaders and the Youth In Development Fellowship for youths worldwide. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in and experience with leading entrepreneurship programs and community development. We are looking for an excellent communicator and facilitator who enjoys networking and community engagement. This position requires 35 hours of work per week.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the team to execute our social enterprise incubation and youth-in-development fellowship programs, including planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Assist with program marketing and communication efforts and identify and establish strategic partnerships with organizations, institutions, and community stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and reach.
- Support the development of grant proposals, corporate sponsorship proposals, and fundraising initiatives to secure financial support for program continuity.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with implementation partners, supporting and guiding the program.
- Support the coordination of logistics for program activities, including workshops, coaching sessions, networking events, venture showcases and demo days.
- Support ongoing monitoring and evaluation of program outcomes and impact, collecting data and feedback.
- Stay informed about current trends, best practices, and developments in social enterprise, social innovation, and community development to inform program enhancements.
Qualifications:
- We are looking for candidates with a strong track record in entrepreneurship, community development, program management, fundraising, partnership building, and promoting sustainability, regardless of their academic qualifications.
- Passion for social change, innovation, entrepreneurship, and environmental sustainability and previous experience in program development and management, preferably in the social enterprise or community development sector.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in grant writing, proposal development, and fundraising is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using technology and online platforms for program management and communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Canadian citizen or permanent resident who is not older than 30 years old.
Time commitment and remuneration:
This full-time position requires 35 hours per week and offers an hourly wage of $23 to $30, depending on experience.
