2020 Fellow
Omata David Omakoji is a project manager, concept developer, and entrepreneur. He has over five years of experience managing projects for NGOs and top individuals. David worked with the commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs in Kwara State and the Chairman house committee on SDGs in Kogi State to develop and implement projects impacting the rural communities.
He is a recipient of the National Biology Olympiad Competition (State level) 2007,  NYSC/SDGs meritorious award 2016, Community Impact award by the Igala Student association (2018). The *Future Awards Africa recognized him*  among the top 100 youths in Africa whose projects helped cushioned the COVID-19 effect on the people (2020).
David is also a fellow of the Sozo Network’s Youth in Development Fellowship (2019), a recipient of the Chinese Government scholarship in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and Institute of Environment for Sustainable Development (IESD), Shanghai, China (2020).
He works as the Programs Manager and Head of Research for First Excel Development Initiative (FEDI). He has facilitated start-up funding for over 700 unbanked and underbanked individuals in rural communities.
